Under-platform ladders are great for providing quick access to your boat from the water without taking up valuable deck space. The sliding design of this ladder allows it to attach under the deck and collapse into the mount when it's not in use for a clean look. The built-in latch secures the ladder when it's stowed to ensure that it stays in place.

To deploy the ladder, simply undo the latch and slide the ladder out of the base. The telescoping legs can then be quickly extended down for use.

Sturdy, Durable Construction

The ladder rungs are covered with UV-resistant, non-skid plastic step pads that ensure steady footing. The ladder is constructed of high-quality 316 stainless steel, which resists corrosion and pitting. The steel has also been electropolished to remove impurities and create a smooth surface free of imperfections. As a result, the ladder is easy to clean and even more resistant to corrosion than untreated stainless steel.

Video Transcript for Jif Marine Boat Accessories - Ladders - 315-FOG4 Review

Speaker 1: Today we're talking a look at the sliding under platform pontoon boat ladder. This is a four-step design. The drop ladder provides an easy way to board your pontoon boat after a swim. It features a sliding pull-out design, so it mounts under the deck. It collapses into the base under the boat for easy out-of-the-way storage, and then it pulls out and telescopes down for use. When you're ready to move it to a stowed position, you need to retract these components here, and then it slides into the bracketing.

You also have a strap that can be used to secure the collapsed ladder for storage. Then when you're ready to extend it out, you just basically reverse those steps, and that's all there is to it.It's a really nice, easy-to-use design. When it comes to the construction, we're looking at electropolish, 3/16 stainless steel, very strong and durable, and extremely corrosion-resistant. On each step, we have a non-skid pad, which is designed to ensure safety and secure footing. Each pad measures around 7 1/4 inches long by an inch-and-a-half deep.

Again, the built-in strap is included, also, the bracketing on the unit. This is all pre-drilled for an easier installation. Mounting hardware is not included, but it come with detailed installation instructions to help walk you through that whole process. Some of the dimensions that I wanna mention for you real quick, I took a measurement of the ladder when it's fully extended. From the top of the bracket to the very bottom of the ladder measured 42 5/8 inches long. The width of the ladder from outside edge here to the same point on the other side is 11 1/2 inches wide.

When it's in the stowed position, so when it's in this position here, very front to very back measures 16 inches. Outer edge to outer edge, side to side, has an overall width of 12 3/4, and that is taking into consideration the mounting hardware that sticks out on the side. Then bottom to top is 3 1/16 of an inch. The steps on the unit, they're slanted at a downward angle for ease of use. It allows you to easily get on when you're trying to get out of the water and back onto the boat. These steps, where they're mounted, they're welded onto the uprights center on center.

They're separated by 11 to 11 1/4 inches, and that's the same for each one. The actual bracket right here, this is our mounting bracket. I wanna go over the measurements of that real quick, too. This mounting bracket, from front to back, measures 12 1/2 inches long. Side to side, right here, the portion that makes contact, is 1 5/8 inches wide. You'll notice that each side has four holes on it. These two holes are separated on center by 1 13/16 of an inch. That's the same measurement for the other sets as well. From this one to this one, it's 6 15/16 of an inch center on center. That's the same from this one to this one. Then sided to side, they're separated on center by 10 3/16 inches. That's gonna do it for today's look at the sliding under platform pontoon boat ladder with the four-step design.
